Athens Bicycle Operations During Coronavirus Pandemic

The world has changed for now but we are still here to help you. If you have a bicycling need, we can help. Bike shops are considered essential businesses during Ohio’s Stay at Home Order, but our governor is encouraging all Ohioans to stay home, and we are too. Here are the ways we can help you while maintaining a safe distance.

1) We are offering limited hours, 12-4 Monday through Saturday, as well as by appointment. Please knock and we will meet you at the door.

2) Browse our catalog online and for purchases or questions, call or text shop owner Pete Kotses at 740-590-8765. You can then pick up your item at our door or we will deliver locally (with gloved hands!).

3) We are accepting bikes for service at the door during the hours outlined above or by appointment (call or text Pete at 740-590-8765).

4) Another way to support our business is to order bikes or products from, have it shipped to our store, and pick it up at our door or have us deliver to your home. If you choose to do this you will still be supporting our shop — Athens Bicycle gets the proceeds of any purchase you make there if you have it shipped to our store vs. your home. You can then pick up or we can provide free local delivery.

5) If you would like to support us by purchasing a gift card, gift cards are available for purchase over the phone or at the door. Call or text Pete at 740-590-8765. We can sell these over the phone and mail them to you.

6) If you would like to set up an appointment outside of our limited hours, call or text Pete at 740-590-8765.

Wash your hands, ride your bike, then wash your hands again! Stay safe and healthy.
