3rd Annual Gravel Rouser Classic, March 16-19, 2006
Day One/Prologue: Sundown Time Trial

The March 16 prologue to the Gravel Rouser Classic was short and sweet: a time trial on the brand-new Sundown Trail at Strouds Run State Park near Athens.

The course was muddy in spots, but not too bad considering the rain we've had in recent days. Pro rider Brian Matter showed up from Wisconsin to take the win in the men's race, and tough girl Elizabeth ("Elizabeast") Boyle took top honors in the ladies race.
