We have demos! We have trails! What are you waiting for?
There aren't too many places where you can try out cool bikes on awesome trails. But Southeastern Ohio and Western West Virginia are two of them. Athens Bicycle and our sister shop, Parkersburg Bicycle in Parkersburg, W.V., have teamed up to put together a killer demo fleet. Both locations also have awesome trails to offer. So what are you waiting for?
Available Demo Bikes
Cost: Just $40 per day!
What $40 gets you:
- The ability to test some fine mountain bikes on excellent nearby trails
- From Athens Bicycle choose to ride out the door (maximize trail time!) or drive to nearby Lake Hope State Park or Strouds Run State Park. Visit the Places to Ride section of our Web site for information on these parks. From Parkersburg Bicycle it's just a 20-minute drive to the beautiful trails at Mountwood Park.
- Depending on availability, swap out bikes and try a few!
Demo Guidelines
- $40 per day
- Arrange to pick up the bike here at Athens Bicycle or at our sister shop, Parkersburg Bicycle, in Parkersburg, W.V. (and ride at nearby Mountwood Park)
- Reservation and a $20 (nonrefundable) deposit required
- We reserve the right to cancel demos due to bad weather and/or poor trail conditions. Deposits refundable if this occurs. We will notify you the day before.
Group Demos and Guide Services Available, Too
- Would you and a group of friends like to demo several bikes at once? We'd be happy to load them up in our shop vehicle, Strawberry, and meet y'all at the trailhead. Just contact Athens Bicycle owner Pete Kotses (pete@athensbicycle.com) to set up a private demo.
- If you'd like to demo bikes and have a guided tour of the local trails (for an additional fee), just e-mail Athens Bicycle owner Pete Kotses (pete@athensbicycle.com) to discuss options. We're happy to offer guide services for individual cyclists or groups of riders. Our experienced guides are familiar with the trails at Lake Hope State Park and Strouds Run State Park near Athens, as well as Mountwood Park near Parkersburg, W.V.
