Beginner Mountain Bike Clinic Set for April 28

If you'd like to improve your mountain bike skills and become more confident on your bike in the woods, Athens Bicycle's upcoming beginner mountain bike clinic will be a great first step.

On Saturday, April 28, Athens Bicycle owner Meredith Erlewine and Athens Bicycle Mountain Bike Team member Joey Boyle will offer mountain bike skills instruction followed by a guided off-road ride to put your skills to work. The clinic is co-sponsored by Kerr Distributing.

Both Erlewine and Boyle are experienced skills instructors and mountain bike guides. They'll cover:

  • Basic bike fit
  • Riding technique
  • Secrets of tire pressure
  • Trail skills such as climbing, descending, dabbing, platforming, and approaching obstacles

The cost for the clinic is $15, payable in cash or a check written out to Athens Bicycle.

Class size is limited and registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. To register, send an e-mail to ridebikes@athensbicycle.com. The last day to register is Thursday, April 26.
