Sasquatch Time Trial
Oct. 27, 4 p.m. sharp (like a knife)
Except for a few forest service personnel, most folks don't know that there have been actual Sasquatch sightings in Appalachia. In fact, the sightings have been just outside of Athens, near The Plains, Ohio.
This potential danger doesn't dampen the biking prospects, though. Forest officials say that abiding by the principles of Sasquatch Safety will ensure peace in the wilderness:
- When on the trail in a known Sasquatch habitat, simply stop every once in a while and look around in the woods. That way, you demonstrate to the Sasquatch that you know that he knows that you know he's watching.
With safety at the forefront of his mind, Athens' scariest mountain biker, Joey Boyle, is planning his third-in-a-row Halloween themed time trial. Don't miss it!
