Kelly Shaw's Southern Traverse
I rode from my brother's house in South Carolina to an organic farm in Georgia, where I'll be an apprentice for the rest of the season. I didn't really keep track but I think it was maybe around 450 miles. I camped at state parks most of the way, met some nice folks (including a professional Santa Claus), and got to see some beautiful scenery. Overall, it was pretty uneventful with almost perfect weather and not even one flat tire! Ryan Curtiss let me borrow the BOB trailer that he already hauled across the country. I've decided it must be lucky. I'm serious about how pretty it is around here. If anybody is tempted to come see it, you all are very welcome. There's room to camp and lots of good food on the farm. So I wish everyone tons of fun rides this spring, good health and good times. And good luck to the racing team.
