Green Guide Helps You Make Sustainable Choices

Ohio University student Sam Pepple has created the Athens Green Guide, a tool to help residents locate businesses, organizations and public services that are making an impact on the sustainability of the region.

The Ohio University Office of Sustainability and a private donor provided the resources to print the guide, which includes an easy-to-read map, listings and information about services and offerings in the county ranging from public transportation to organic farms.

Destinations on the map include stores, restaurants, farms and bars that support sustainable choices such as organic agriculture, fair trade, education, bicycling, alternative energy, local products and waste diversion.
