Trek Says Goodbye to LeMond

Trek Bicycle Corporation president John Burke last week announced that Trek has filed suit in Federal Court to sever the company’s ongoing relationship with three-time Tour de France winner Greg LeMond. See Burke's announcement on YouTube, or read the press release. What does this mean for LeMond customers? Trek will not continue to produce LeMond bikes after 2008, but Trek will continue to provide warranty support for all LeMond bikes sold in the past. The severed relationship also means savings for LeMond customers. Now through June 30, 2008, Trek is offering rebates of $65 to $130 for any 2008 model LeMond purchased at regular retail price. Stop in for details.
