It's not every day you get to scamper down to W.V. and run around in the mountains, but Sunday was one of those spectacular days. A group of six accompanied me late Saturday to Elk River Touring Center in Slatyfork to meet up with Joey Boyle to attempt one of the first designated IMBA epic rides. The trails on Gauly Mountain were in great shape and the weather cooperated, allowing us to get maximum trail time in on Sunday. The mountain's rugged terrain claimed some bike parts but everyone made it out of the woods in one piece (some just a little earlier than others). Good trip ... see you on the next big job.
