This
past weekend was full of cycling adventures. Pete and
Malcolm made it safely to Slatyfork, W.V., on Friday,
somehow not getting rained on at all during the entire
trip,
despite
the
fact that I witnessed crazy storms here in Athens AND
in Slatyfork while they were en route. Pete continued
on solo to Elkins, W.V., on Saturday, and the
Racing Riddles drove him to the Appalachian Classic
on Sunday. There he romped around with the Vet Expert
class. Above Athens Bicycle team member Duncan Green
passes through the start/finish area at the Appalachian
Classic, on his way to a first-place finish in the
High School Men's class. Meanwhile, Friday through
Sunday Sue Haywood and I helped 11 go-getting ladies
improve their
technique
on technical singletrack in Slatyfork. Everyone's a
little tired today! I'll post some pics later this
week.
