Ever
since I was little I've loved walking stick
bugs, and lately there are tons of them around!
I noticed this little cutie while riding
home from Lake Hope State Park yesterday.
As usual, fall has provided lots of opportunities for fun on a bike. Last Sunday
I had a great road ride with Joey and Craig
on Rim of the World -- the colors and views
were spectacular. No pics, unfortunately,
though. I have gotten caught up with some
other pics: click on the links for recaps
and photos of the Sasquatchfest
Eco-Challenge and of Pete's
recent loaded tour
through W.V.

11 & 18: Trail Maintenance at Lake Hope State
Park
Zaleski
Back in 1998 the Athens Bicycle Club built
its first trail, Sidewinder, at Lake Hope
State Park. Now Sidewinder needs your help
-- several areas of the trail need some lovin'.
If you've ever had fun on the trails at Lake
Hope, it's time to give back by swinging
some tools. Meet at the dam parking lot at
10 a.m. Bring work gloves, boots, snack and
water. Questions? E-mail info@athensbicycleclub.org.
