That's
Athens resident Angie Buckley (above, left)
wearing an Athens Bicycle jersey while she
climbs up Alpe d'Huez in France! Angie got
to ride that awesome climb, plus a bunch
of other mountains, when she participated
in a Trek Travel tour (Classic
Climbs of France with Kevin Livingston) in August. They covered
about 235 miles in five days
of cycling, with more than 35,000 feet of
elevation gain. In addition to Alpe d'Huez,
Angie climbed the Col de la Forclaz, Col
de Leschaux, Col des Aravis, Col du Telegraphe,
Col du Galibier and the Col du Lautaret.
She said it was a blast. Stop in the shop
to find out about other tours offered by
Trek Travel.

If you've ever had fun on the trails at Lake
Hope, it's time to give back by swinging
some tools. Meet at the dam parking lot at
10 a.m. Bring work gloves, boots, snack and
