Eleven
folks showed up this past Sunday (Nov. 11)
to give some love and attention to Sidewinder
Trail at Lake Hope State Park. We cleared
out soggy low spots, created drainage, re-benched
some areas and pruned the bushes. Smaller
work groups also have been out on the trail
this week and last marking a re-route of
the section of Sidewinder that is slipping
down the ridge. Work on the re-route will
begin during the work party this coming Saturday,
Nov. 18 (see below for details). Please,
come join in on the fun.

Back in 1998 the Athens Bicycle Club built
its first trail, Sidewinder, at Lake Hope
State Park. Now Sidewinder needs your help
-- several areas of the trail need some lovin'.
If you've ever had fun on the trails at Lake
Hope, it's time to give back by swinging
some tools. Meet at the dam parking lot at
10 a.m. Bring work gloves, boots, snack and
