On
Sunday, Aug. 6,
the shop will co-sponsor the Race
to the Hills at
Lake Hope State Park. The dual-points
race will offer racers points in the
Ohio Mountain Bike Championship series
and the West Virginia Mountain Bike Series
-- simultaneously. OMBC hosted 176 riders
last week at a points race at Alum Creek
State Park in Columbus (!), and the last
WVMBA race hosted 113 riders. I'm pretty
sure we're going to break the record
for the most lycra in Vinton County on
one day.
We
could still use some
volunteers, so if you're not planning
on racing and want to be part of the

We love this crazy backcountry scramble, where course length is determined by
your route selection and mapreading skills. Approximate course length is 100K,
but distance sometimes ranges from 55 miles to 85 miles. Rocks,
roots,
scenic
views,
mud
and
big hills are highlights during the event; food and beer are highlights afterward.
