Update 8/28: Ryan has made it to Missouri and says the state is living up to its name. He got in 100 miles on Friday, but some weather prevented him from a long day on Saturday. He hopes to be out of Missouri today. Just like Lewis said to Clark on their cross-country trip: "You can do it, buddy!" Our friend Ryan Curtiss is bicycling across the country, hauling his gear in a B.O.B. trailer. He left Norfolk, Va., on Aug. 8.
